Why did the Jew survive the onslaughts of Time, when others, numerically and politically stronger, succumbed?

You must understand that god have choosen the Jews to kill jesus. How else could jesus atone your sins if there were no jews? The jews must survive in order for jesus to play the role of the sacrificial lamb!
